What is myBSN?

MyBSN consists of Bank Simpanan Nasional’s corporate website and Internet Banking services. The corporate website functions as an information portal about the bank and its products and services, whereas the secured site offers various Internet Banking services.

What can I currently do in myBSN?

MyBSN offers various types of Internet Banking services such as, Balance Enquiry, Fund Transfer, Bill Payment, Credit Card Payment, SSP Purchase, Pin Purchase and lots more. What else do we have? Find out more.

Getting Started

Do I need to open a new account for Internet banking?

You may use your existing account and ATM card number.

Can I open an account online?

As at this moment, we do not offer this service yet. Maybe at a later date, we will improve our services for your the convenience.

When can I start using this service?

You may start using this service immediately after your successful online registration at MyBSN.

I don't have a banking account with myBSN. Can I still use this service?

You must have a Savings Account with an ATM card and ATM PIN to register with MyBSN.

Can I register a foreign mobile phone number?

As at this moment, we do not open the TAC registration for foreign mobile numbers.

Do I need to re-register to myBSN after my ATM card is replaced (due to theft, loss, etc.)?

You are not required to re-register, as your profile at MyBSN is still valid.

Can I use the same Username as my Password?

As a security measure, it is advisable that you do not enter the same Username and Password.

If I have forgotten my Password, how can I reapply for a new Password?

Click on Forgot Password and enter your ATM Card number, Username and MyBSN iPIN (iPIN to be created via ATM & CDM).

Can I change my password?

Yes, you can change your password. Login to MyBSN and click Profile Management, then choose Change Password. You will need to request for TAC in order to change your password.

What precautions can I take to protect my PIN and password?

Please do not login to MyBSN via any email links. It is advisable that you type out the URL address, which is www.mybsn.com.my and Login from there.

Fund Transfer

What is the daily maximum transaction limit for 3rd Party Fund Transfer?

Your daily maximum limit for 3rd Party Fund Transfer transaction is RM10,000.

Can I perform Open Payment or Open Funds Transfer?

Yes.

Do I need to pay the service fee each time I make a fund transfer?

No charges will be imposed for transfers between BSN accounts, at the moment.

How do I check my Funds Transfer History?

After you login, go to Account Overview and click on the preferred account. Then, click on 'View MyBSN Transaction History'. You will be able to view payments made over the last 60 days.

Can I perform fund transfer to other banks?

Yes. You may transfer fund to other banks using Interbank GIRO (IBG) service via MyBSN.

What are the transactions that I can perform through IBG service?

With IBG, you can perform fund transfer, credit card, loan, and hire purchase payments to other participating banks.

Is there a charge if I perform IBG fund transfer online?

You will be charged RM0.10 for each successful transaction.

What is the daily maximum transaction limit for IBG transaction via myBSN?

Your daily maximum limit for IBG transaction is RM10,000 for Malaysian residents and RM10,000 for non-residents.

How long does it take for the funds to be transferred to the other bank’s account?

Similar to any other IBG services, the funds will deem successfully transferred within 3 working days.

Bill Payment

What is Bill Payment?

Bill Payment is a payment facility, offered through MyBSN to allow you to pay bills to participating payee corporations.

Where can I view my payment transactions?

After you login, go to Account Overview and click on the preferred account. Then, click on 'View MyBSN Transaction History'. You will be able to view payments made over the last 60 days.

What happens if I have insufficient funds in my account?

If you are making an immediate payment, you will see an 'Unsuccessful' message and a reject code.

Do I need to pay the service fee each time I pay my bills?

Currently, there are no charges for using this service.

What is the daily maximum limit for Bill Payment transaction via myBSN?

Your daily maximum limit for Bill Payment transaction is RM3,000.

Credit Card

Can I make payments to other banks' credit cards?

At the moment, you may only perform payments to BSN Credit Cards only.

Is there a charge when I pay my credit cards online?

There are no charges imposed when you make payments to your BSN credit cards online.

How do I check my Credit Card Transaction History?

After you login, go to Account Overview and click on your Credit Card account. Then, click on 'View Recent Transaction'. You will be able to view payments made over the last 60 days.

What is the daily maximum limit for 3rd Party Credit Payment transaction via myBSN?

Your daily maximum limit for 3rd Party Credit Card Payment transaction is RM3,000.

PIN Purchase

Can I purchase the Pins for other people?

Yes, by entering the student's/candidate's NRIC.

SSP Purchase

If I don't have an account with BSN, can I purchase SSP online?

No, you may not. You must have a valid BSN ATM Card and register as an Internet Banking user before purchasing SSP online.

How will I receive my SSP Certificate if I purchase online?

Physical SSP Certificate will not be issued when you purchase SSP online. It is important for you to check and confirm your address before proceeding with the SSP purchase. If the address is not updated, do not proceed yet. Instead, go the branch to update the correct address.

What is the daily maximum limit for SSP Purchase transaction via myBSN?

There is no limit for SSP purchase via myBSN.

TAC

Why do I need TAC?

TAC is required for specific transactions as an additional layer of security, to protect you against unauthorised access to your account.You must ensure that you register your own handphone number only for TAC purposes. Do not register anyone else's handphone number.

How do I request for TAC?

TAC can only be requested through MyBSN.

Is TAC the same as ATM PIN?

No, it isn't. Your ATM PIN is used for ATM transactions, while TAC is used for specific transactions such as 3rd party fund transfer, open bill payment and 3rd party credit card payment in MyBSN.

Do I need a new TAC for every transaction?

Yes, you need to request a new TAC for every transaction.

How do I request for TAC if I'm overseas?

You can request for a TAC via MyBSN and it will be sent to you by SMS to your pre-registered mobile phone number. Ensure your phone is activated for call roaming in order to receive SMS. Please note that the delivery of the TAC also depends on the international network service provider.

How many mobile phone numbers can I register for TAC?

You are only allowed to register one mobile phone number at a time.

Can I register my mobile number for TAC via myBSN?

No. All mobile number registration or change of mobile number for TAC can only be performed at BSN ATM or CDM.

How do I change my mobile number for TAC?

Go to any BSN ATMs or CDMs, select Internet Banking Maintenance and choose Change Handphone option.

Is there a charge when I receive TAC?

At the moment, there are no charges imposed.

Access Issues

There was a service interruption / time-out during the transaction. Is my TAC still valid or do I need a new one?

You will need to request for a new TAC once your session has expired.

I entered my TAC as requested but got an error message.

You may receive an "error" message for the following reasons:    i. Invalid TAC    ii.TAC Expired

Which browsers can I use to access this service?

You may use the internet browser as follows; Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and any equivalent browser software. This website is best viewed with Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher, Mozilla Firefox ® 3.0 or higher or equivalent browser software.

What should I do if at the point of confirming a transaction, my Internet connection gets cut-off or there is a power trip?

You may check the transaction status at 'Transaction History' as to know whether your account has been debited or else.

I'm getting a 'SSL Certificate Error' message when I try to Login to myBSN. What do I do?

You are required to run the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 6 update 20.

Security

I lost my TAC / I forgot the TAC / My TAC has expired.

Immediately logout and login again to request for a new TAC.

What happens if I suspect illegal or fraudulent transactions from my account?

You are required to call Customer Service Centre (24 hours) on 1300 88 1900 or +603-2613 1900 (Overseas), or go to your nearest branch to lodge an official report.

How do I cancel my Internet banking facility?

You are required to call Customer Service Centre (24 hours) on 1300 88 1900 or +603-2613 1900 (Overseas).

After logging out, there's a note advising me to 'clear cache'. How do I do that?
